Rockhurst University Athletics

A starting halfback for the Hawks, Alyward was popular on and off the field. He served as a lieutenant J.G. in the U.S. Coast Guard, Port Security. He coached and played basketball and football on teams in New York City. Alyward later become vice president of the Alyward Products Company. He was chairman for the Conservation Commissioner and was elected to the Missouri Academy of Squires.
