Men's Volleyball picked first in GLVC Preseason Poll

Rockhurst is coming off a 19-11 season under first-year head coach Corey Marks

Rockhurst Men's Volleyball has been picked to finish first in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll, the league office announced on Tuesday. The Preseason Poll was voted on by the league coaches and ranks all eight teams in predicted order of finish.

Rockhurst is coming off a 19-11 season under first-year head coach Corey Marks and advanced to the IVA semifinals in the team's first year of competition.

The Hawks return 11 players from last year's squad, including two Second Team All-IVA honorees in Shay Spadaro and Lucas Tran. Spadaro led the Hawks in service aces (42), was second in kills (285), and third in digs (141). Tran led the Hawks in kills (299), and was fourth in digs (117).

Rockhurst opens the 2026 season on Jan. 8 against Vanguard in Costa Mesa, California. The Hawks' home opener is Friday, Jan. 23 against Central State and the conference opener is Friday, March 6 against Jamestown at 6 p.m. inside Mason-Halpin Field House.
