Rockhurst University Athletics

Corey Marks was named the first head men’s volleyball coach in Rockhurst University history in July 2023 and has led the Hawks through the launch and continued growth of the program.

Under Marks’ leadership, Rockhurst quickly established itself as a competitive program on the national landscape. In 2026, the Hawks captured a share of the inaugural Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) regular-season championship after posting a 12-2 conference record. Marks has continued to build the program around a team-first culture, competitive excellence, academic success, and the goal of establishing a lasting championship tradition at Rockhurst.

Prior to Rockhurst, Marks served as the head men’s volleyball coach and assistant athletic director at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. During the 2022-23 season, he guided the Lions to an 18-13 record as a member of the NCAA Division III New England Collegiate Conference.

Marks’ coaching background also includes collegiate experience at Florida International University and Johnson & Wales University from 2017-21, along with experience within the USA Volleyball pipeline as a Youth National Team head coach.

In April 2021, Marks was recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association as a recipient of the inaugural AVCA Thirty Under 30 Beach Award, honoring emerging leaders in the sport.

A Florida native, Marks earned his bachelor’s degree from Broward College and his master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
