The Rockhurst men's cross country team finished in ninth place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships Saturday at the UIS Cross Country Course in Springfield, Illinois.
The Hawks finished with 252 points. Lewis won the team title with 34 points, followed by Drury with 68 points and Illinois Springfield with 70 points.
Max Hertenstein led Rockhurst in 56th place with a time of 25:52.87 over the eight-kilometer course.
Andrew Hartegan was the Hawks' No. 2 runner in 60th place with a 25:57.12 time.
Colton Ellingsworth (70th, 26:18.09),
Aiden Amis (86th, 26:37.16) and
Luke Coltvet (91st, 28:05.03) rounded out the top five finishers for Rockhurst.
Colby Goddard (96th, 26:44.78),
Aidan McGarry (127th, 27:31.99) and
Owen Hartline (128th, 27:32.67) also broke 28 minutes.
