Del Vecchio leads Hawks at NCAA Midwest Regional

Jack Del Vecchio led the Hawks

The Rockhurst men's cross country team finished 26th out of 32 teams at the NCAA Midwest Regional Saturday at the Angel Mounds course in Evansville, Indiana.

Jack Del Vecchio led Rockhurst in 103rd place with a time of 33:21.74 over the 10-kilometer course. Collin Fay was the Hawks' No. 2 runner in 142nd place with a 34:08.02 time.

Colton Ellingsworth placed third for the Hawks in 170th place in 35:13.74, followed by Chris Obersteadt (177th, 35:29.59).

Andrew Hartegan (180th, 35:39.84), Luke Colvet (184th, 36:09.27) and Isaac Zitter (186th, 36:16.73) rounded out the seven runners for Rockhurst.
