Men win team title at ZK Maple Leaf meet

The Hawks won the team title with 51 points.

The Rockhurst men's cross country team won the team title at the ZK Maple Leaf Invitational Saturday in Baldwin City, Kansas.

The Hawks finished first in the team standings with 51 points, 13 points in front of second-place Baker University.

Jack Del Vecchio led the Hawks in third place over the 5K course in a time of 16:21.87. Four freshman followed Del Vecchio among RU's top five runners. Dylan Brush was fifth in 16:25.37, followed by Max Hertenstein in sixth place in 16:25.48. Chris Obersteadt finished 18th in 17:13.08 and Collin Fay was 21st in 17:26.68.
