Men finished seventh at SBU Bearcat Open

Max Hertenstein (1943) and Jack Del Vecchio (1940) led the Hawks at the SBU Bearcat Open.

The Rockhurst men's cross country team finished seventh with 197 points at the SBU Bearcat Open Friday in Bolivar, Missouri.

Jack Del Vecchio led the Hawks in 42nd place over the 8K course in a time of 28:02.88. Freshman Max Hertenstein came in 43rd place in 28:03.93, followed by Collin Fay (60th, 28:51.04), Dylan Brush (72nd, 29:38.99), Tyler Pedee (74th, 29:49.11) and Isaac Zitter (78th, 29:57.77).

The Hawks will compete at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on Nov. 5 in Elsah, Illinois.
