Brush, Hertenstein lead Hawks at Gans Creek Classic

Freshman Dylan Brush led the Hawks with a 60th-place finish.

The Rockhurst men's cross country team finished in 12th place at the Gans Creek Classic Friday in Columbia, Missouri.

Freshman Dylan Brush led the Hawks in 60th place in a time of 26:38.5 over the eight-kilometer course. Freshman Max Hertenstein finished right behind Brush in 62nd place in 26:39.6.

Jack Del Vecchio (73rd, 27:02.7), Collin Fay (79th, 27:11.6), Chris Obersteadt (102nd, 28:02.43, and Isaac Zitter (109th, 28:28.3) rounded out the top six runners for Rockhurst.
