The Rockhurst men's cross country team finished in second place with 64 points at the Billy Mills Invitational at the Haskell campus in Lawrence, Kansas.
Jack Del Vecchio led the Hawks in second place in a time of 27:12.1 over eight kilometers.
Zach Hill also placed in the top 10 in sixth place in 27:30.4.
Tyler Pedee (23rd, 28:41.1),
Luke Coltvet (31st, 29:48.6) and
Chris Oberkrom (32nd, 29:50.8) rounded out the top runners for the Hawks.
Thomas Butler (39th),
Riley Brookins (47th) and
Chris Joseph (50th) also finished in the top 50 for Rockhurst.
Rockhurst will next compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on Oct. 23 in Romeoville, Illinois.
