Hitzemann leads Hawks at ESU Invite

Jack Hitzemann, left, Riley Brookins and Christopher Moffatt led the Hawks at the ESU Invitational.
The Rockhurst men's cross country team finished in seventh place at the Emporia State Invitational Friday in Emporia, Kansas.

The Hawks finished with 197 points, Fort Hays State won the team title with 40 points.

Jack Hitzermann led the Hawks in 50th place in a time of 33:25.38 over eight kilometers. Daniel Suarez finished in 56th in 34:45.42, followed by Eric Mata (58th, 34:56.41), Christopher Joseph (59th, 35:18.0) and Riley Brookins (60th, 35:50.34).
