Academic All-District Track and Field

Six track and field athletes earn CSC All-District accolades

The Rockhurst men's track and field squad had six student-athletes selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team: Noah Britton, Colby Goddard, Andrew Hartegan, Myles Jackson, Nick Marchetti and Lucas Orviz.

For potential selection to the Academic All-District Team, an individual must rank in the Top 50 of their region in a single event (cross country, indoor track and field or outdoor track and field), not including relay events. They must also be at least a sophomore in athletic eligibility and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Noah Britton is the school-record holder in the 800 (outdoors) and (indoors). He also ranks fourth in the 400 (outdoors).

Colby Goddard ranks third in the 3,000 steeplechase and the 800 (indoors). He also stands fourth in the 3,000 (indoors) on the school career charts.

Andrew Hartegan holds the school records in the 3,000 steeplechase and the mile (indoors). He also ranks second in the 1,500 and 5,000 (outdoors) and 3,000 (indoors), and is fourth in the 800 (outdoors and indoors). Hartegan finished seventh in the 3,000 steeplechase at the GLVC Outdoor meet and won the Baker University Cross Country Invitational last fall.

Myles Jackson is the school-record holder in the 60, 200 and 300 (indoors). He also ranks second in the long jump (outdoors and indoors), and stands third in the 100 (outdoors). Jackson finished eighth in the GLVC Indoor long jump.

Nick Marchetti broke the school record in the 400 hurdles with a fifth-place finish at the GLVC Outdoor. He ranks second in the 110 hurdles (outdoors) and 400 (indoors), and fourth in the 200 (indoors).

Lucas Orviz ranks first in the 600 yards (indoors) and third in the 400 hurdles (outdoors).
