Box Score Rockhurst battled Saint Louis for 12 innings before falling to the Billikens, 2-1, Wednesday in St. Louis.

Saint Louis scored the winning run on a one-out single in the bottom of the 12th. The deciding run was set up on a walk, passed ball and a sacrifice bunt.

The Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a single down the left-field line by Henry Weiler. Joey Mancuso doubled to right center with one out and scored on Weiler's hit. The Billikens scored in the fourth on a sacrifice fly.

Rockhurst finished with nine hits. Wieler led the Hawk with three hits. Alex Merithew held Saint Louis to one run on five hits over the first five innings. Grant Otte entered the game in the 11th and suffered his first loss of the season.

The Hawks (3-2) play a doubleheader against Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday in Jacksonville, Illinois.
