Seven current and former Rockhurst University baseball student-athletes took the field at one of baseball's most iconic venues, representing the Hawks in the 2026 Ban Johnson League All-Star Game played on Monday (July 27) at Kauffman Stadium, home of Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals.

Rockhurst was one of the most well-represented collegiate programs in the event, placing seven players on the All-Star rosters.

Five Hawks suited up for the American Division All-Stars. Michael Pryzbylski represented the Kansas City Knights at second base, while the Kansas City Giants were represented by Gustavo Leon at third base, Luke Schultz as the designated hitter, Colton Wemhoff in the outfield and Archer Nolen, who earned the selection as a right-handed pitcher.

The National Division roster featured two more Hawks, as Avery Garmon, representing the MBC franchise, started at third base, while Jack Tritz, playing for the Aces, was selected as a utility player.

The Ban Johnson League has long been recognized as one of the nation's premier collegiate summer baseball leagues by providing players the opportunity to continue their development against high-level competition during the summer months. The annual All-Star Game at Kauffman Stadium serves as the league's signature event, giving players the rare opportunity to compete on a Major League field while showcasing their talents before professional scouts, coaches and fans.

The National Division defeated the American Division, 4-2, in this year's contest. The game remained tied through seven innings before the National All-Stars pulled away late to secure the victory.

The Hawks will return to campus later this month to begin preparations for the 2027 season, carrying with them valuable experience gained through summer competition and a memorable night under the lights at Kauffman Stadium.
