The Rockhurst baseball program has once again been recognized for its success in the classroom, earning the 2025-26 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack on Wednesday (July 22). 

The award recognizes high school and collegiate baseball programs that post a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the academic year while meeting all ABCA membership requirements. More than 800 programs across the country, including nearly 500 collegiate teams, received the honor for the 2025-26 academic year.

Rockhurst has become a consistent presence on the national academic honor roll, earning the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award five out of the last six consecutive season. The Hawks have now received the distinction in 2025-26, 2023-24, 2022-23, 2021-22 and 2020-21, highlighting the program's continued commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award is presented annually to recognize programs whose student-athletes demonstrate the discipline and dedication required to achieve success academically while competing at a high level on the baseball field. The American Baseball Coaches Association has recognized the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes for more than 80 years.
