Hawks end regular season with 3-1 victory

The Rockhurst senior class was honored after the 3-1 win over Truman State.

Box Score Rockhurst closed out the regular season on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Truman State on Senior Day at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks split the first two sets before closing out the match with 25-21 and 25-22 wins.

The 23rd-ranked Hawks won the GLVC West Division title with a 16-2 league record. Rockhurst, 26-5, will face Indianapolis in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Tournament on Friday, Nov. 18 in East Peoria, Ill.

Morgan Rietzke led the Hawks with 20 kills and eight digs. Alyssa Woodman finished with 13 kills and nine digs. Mattie Gray also posted 13 kills.

Anne Hellwege collected a team-high 15 digs for the Hawks. Kalie Arnold had 10 digs. Lily Thornberg tallied 30 assists and nine digs. Grace Carter added 20 assists.
