Chloe Tyrrell's 17 kills and
Kaitlyn Dumpit's 31 assists led Rockhurst to a four-set victory over No. 25 Central Missouri on Tuesday night inside Mason-Halpin Field House. Rockhurst hit .304 with 69 kills, including 23 kills in the fourth set.
Rockhurst has now won five straight matches, their longest winning streak since 2024. Tuesday's win was also the second win this season over a ranked MIAA opponent.
RU won the first set, 25-23 and the second set, 25-19. Central Missouri won 25-21 in the third set.
The fourth set saw 16 ties and eight lead changes. Both teams traded several points late in the fourth set until the match was 27-27. A Central Missouri service error and a Tyrrell kill from Dumpit's assist gave the Hawks the win.
Tyrrell hit .500 on the evening along with 17.5 points and nine digs. Dumpit tallied seven digs.
Molly Trachta had 26 assists.
Abby Boyd recorded a team-high in digs with 18.
Bailey Donnelly notched four service aces.
Delaney Hope had 12 kills with a .348 hitting percentage with three blocks.
Avery DeLong tallied 12 kills.
As a team, Rockhust finished with five service aces, seven team blocks, 65 assists and 59 digs.
