Rockhurst freshman Marley Dunham has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC)/Athletic Solutions Women's Golf Player of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday (Sept. 16).

Dunham earns the first GLVC Player of the Week honor of her collegiate career after an impressive performance in her first collegiate tournament at the MSSU Women's Fall Invite on Sept. 14-15 in Joplin, Missouri.

The Granger, Indiana, native tied for sixth among 53 golfers, carding a 77 in the opening round before finishing with an even-par 72 in the final round. Dunham finished the tournament with a two-round score of 149 (+5), helping Rockhurst finish sixth among nine teams.

Dunham's final round highlighted her strong collegiate debut, as she recorded three birdies and finished even with a 72. She also finished tied for second in the tournament in par-3 scoring with an average of 2.80 and placed seventh with 23 total pars.

The Player of the Week honor marks the first of Dunham's career and the first GLVC Women's Golf Player of the Week award for Rockhurst.

Dunham and the Hawks return to action at the Holiday Inn Express Invitational, hosted by Missouri Western State, on Sept. 28-29 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
