Rockhurst women's golf opens its 2026-27 season Monday (Sept. 14) and Tuesday (Sept. 15) at the MSSU Fall Invitational in Joplin, Missouri, hosted by Missouri Southern State at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club.
The Hawks enter the season with a five-player lineup featuring Arantza Zepeda, Romina Sanchez, Audrey Smith, Marley Dunham and Ella Green. The group includes two freshmen, giving Rockhurst a mix of returning experience and newcomers as the Hawks begin the new campaign.
Zepeda headlines the group after earning All-GLVC Second Team honors last season. She will look to build on that performance as she begins her second season with the Hawks and provides an experienced presence at the top of the lineup.
Rockhurst finished 10th at last year's GLVC Championship and will look to use the fall portion of the schedule to establish its identity heading into the spring. The MSSU Fall Invitational provides an early test against a field that includes several regional opponents.
The tournament will be played at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club, a par-72 course measuring 5,774 yards. The two-day event gives the Hawks 36 holes of competition as they begin their fall season and look to gain valuable experience with a young lineup.
With two freshmen making their collegiate debuts and Zepeda returning as an All-GLVC performer, Rockhurst will look to start the season strong in Joplin and build momentum throughout the fall.
