Men open conference play against Jamestown

The Hawks enter conference play on a three-match winning streak.

Rockhurst Men's Volleyball opens conference play with home matches against Jamestown on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mason-Halpin Field House. Friday's contest is both teams' inaugural GLVC match and will be the first-ever matchup between the Hawks and the Jimmies.

Heading into conference play, the Hawks (7-9) are on a three-match winning streak, the longest of the season. RU last played on Feb. 24 when they won in straight sets over Avila at home.

Quentin Huhman (seven), Shay Spadaro (six) and Nate Barton (six) combined for 19 kills. Tyler Zippay led Rockhurst with 22 assists. Trent Massey had a team-leading six digs.

Jamestown (6-11) enters conference play as winners of three of its last four. The Jimmies played two on Tuesday, falling to Ottawa in three sets before winning in three sets over Hastings.
