Softball wins two at Space Coast Spring Games

Emily Berry went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI and three runs scored against Ursuline

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Emily Berry, Emma Reeves and Mya Bristow combined for nine hits and nine RBI to lead Rockhurst to a 12-0 win over Ursuline in five innings on Monday at the Space Coast Spring Games in Melbourne, Florida. RU also won 7-2 over Thomas More on Monday in game two to improve its winning streak to four in a row.

Game 1: Rockhurst 12, Ursuline 0 (5 inn.)
The Hawks scored five in the first, two in the fourth and five in the fifth.

Bristow hit her second home run of the season and Berry collected a double.
Eva Fulk, Taylor Sedam, Claire Long and Jazmyne Moreno combined for eight hits and six stolen bases. Bristow also collected a stolen base.
Huffman (5-4) picked up her fourth win in her last five starts. She allowed just one hit in four innings and struck out four batters.

Game 2: Rockhurst 7, Thomas More 2
After trailing 2-0, the Hawks rallied by scoring the last seven runs of the game to pick up the win. Rockhurst scored two in the first, two in the second and three in the fourth.

Sedam, Berry and McKenna Lester combined for seven hits and six RBI. Berry and Sedam each hit home runs.
Sedam and Lester each recorded doubles.
Madeline McCall allowed just four hits while striking out five batters.

Rockhurst finishes play at the Space Coast Spring Games on Tuesday. The Hawks face Concordia-St. Paul at 3:45 p.m. and Ferris State at 6 p.m.
