The Rockhurst University softball program continued its tradition of excellence in the classroom, earning a spot among the top academic programs in NCAA Division II as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2025-26 Easton Top 10 GPAs and Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors Wednesday (August 12).

Rockhurst posted a 3.743 team GPA, ranking seventh among NCAA Division II programs and placing the Hawks among the top academic teams in the division. Rockhurst was also the only Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) program represented among the NCAA Division II Top 10 team GPAs, further highlighting the academic success of the Hawks' program.

In addition to the team's Top 10 Division II GPA, 16 Rockhurst student-athletes were named 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, highlighting the individual academic achievements of the Hawks' roster.

Rockhurst's honorees included seniors Jordyn Beatty, Emilee Farnan, Eva Fulk, Avery Huffman, McKenna Lester, Taylor Sedam and Claire Tipton; juniors Emily Berry and Izzy Carter; sophomores Trinity Darst, Lily Hance, Kylie Jones-Plasencia and Claire Long; and freshmen Emery McReynolds, Ezra Medrano and Emma Reeves.

The 16 honorees were part of the 8,850 collegiate student-athletes recognized by the NFCA for earning Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2025-26 academic year. The award recognizes student-athletes who excelled academically while competing at the collegiate level.

The Easton/NFCA academic awards cap a historic year for Rockhurst softball, with the Hawks combining record-setting success on the field with continued excellence in the classroom. The program's 3.743 team GPA and 16 individual scholar-athletes further demonstrated the academic standard established by the Rockhurst softball program and head coach Dana Goss.
