The Rockhurst men's cross country team won the team title at the Baker Wildcat XC Classic in their season-opening meet Saturday in Baldwin City, Kansas. The Hawks finished with 26 points, four points ahead of Benedictine.

Junior Andrew Hartegan captured the individual title with 25:47.05 time over the eight-kilometer course.

Max Hertenstein came in third place in 25:49.96, followed by Sam Rosenberg in fourth place at 25:55.46 and Julio Cruz in seventh place in 26:29.04.

Freshman Carter Tomac (11th, 27:04.89), Colby Goddard (13th, 27:13.86) and Parker Foster (19th, 27:54.38) also finished in the top 20.
