Five Hawks earn Academic All-District honors

The Rockhurst softball team placed five student-athletes on the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Softball Team.

The five student-athletes to earn the distinction are Emily Berry, Eva Fulk, Avery Huffman, McKenna Lester and Claire Tipton. This is the second career Academic All-District honor for Berry.

Berry, a sophomore utility player from Blue Springs, Missouri, batted .248 batting average with four home runs and 24 RBI.

Fulk, a junior outfielder from Ankeny, Iowa, led the team with a .357 batting average with 23 runs scored and 24 stolen bases.

Huffman, a junior pitcher from Grain Valley, Missouri, collected a 6-12 record and 3.70 ERA. She struck out 147 in 126.2 innings.

Lester, a junior first baseman from Kansas City, Missouri, drove in 24 runs while batting .317 with 11 extra-base hits.

Tipton, a junior third baseman from Unionville, Missouri, batted .348 with six home runs and 23 RBIs.
