The Rockhurst men's volleyball team returns to Mason-Halpin Field House for a pair of rematches to close the regular season. Rockhurst faces Quincy on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Missouri S&T on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Heading into this week, Rockhurst has won four out of their last five matches and nine out of 10. Also, the Hawks last eight wins have ended in three sets.
Rockhurst won both matches in three sets against Central Christian (25-11, 25-16 and 25-16 in match one, 25-14, 25-10 and 25-11 in match two) on Saturday in McPherson, Kansas.
In the first match, Max Tkachev and Tyler Bittel each led the team with 10 kills. Nate Barton had a team-leading two service aces.
Lucas Tran had 10 kills to lead Rockhurst in the second match. Nathan Jacques had a team-leading five service aces.
Quincy (8-14) defeated then No. 14 Ball State in five sets last Friday and fell to Purdue Fort Wayne in four sets last Saturday. Rockhurst won against Quincy in four sets back on Feb. 1 in Quincy, Illinois.
Missouri S&T (10-10) last had a match on March 22 when they won in four sets over Roosevelt. The Miners take on No. 11 McKendree on Wednesday before their rematch with Rockhurst on Saturday. Rockhurst fell to the Miners in three sets on March 21 in Rolla, Missouri.
