Men set to face Central Christian

The Hawks have won seven of their last eight matches

Rockhurst Men's Volleyball travels to McPherson, Kansas for two matches on Saturday, facing Central Christian at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The Hawks (14-10) went 2-1 last weekend, falling to Missouri S&T in three sets on Friday before defeating Roosevelt and LeMoyne-Owen in three sets on Saturday. The Hawks have won seven of their eight matches. Also, their last six wins have ended in three sets.

Against Roosevelt, Lucas Tran led the Hawks with 14 kills. Shay Spadaro had 12 kills, three blocks, four digs and a team-leading five service aces.

Beau Cecil led the Hawks in kills (nine) and service aces (seven) against LeMoyne-Owen. Cecil and Billy Harms also added six assists.

Central Christian (0-13) fell in three sets to Ottawa last Tuesday and to Health Science and Pharmacy in St. Louis last Saturday.

Saturday afternoon's matches will be the Hawks' third and fourth against the Tigers in March. Back on March 1, the Hawks defeated the Tigers twice in three sets at Mason-Halpin Field House.
