Men travel to Missouri S&T this weekwend

Rockhurst enters play this weekend on a five-match winning streak

Rockhurst Men's Volleyball travels to Rolla, Missouri for three matches this weekend. Rockhurst faces Missouri S&T on Friday at 4:30 p.m., following by two matches on Saturday against Roosevelt at noon and LeMoyne-Owen at 3 p.m.

Rockhurst (12-9, 4-2 IVA) last played on March 9 against Thomas More, winning the match in three sets. This was Rockhurst's fifth win in a row and their fourth in a row in three sets.

Tyler Zippay led Rockhurst with 33 assists. Shay Spadaro posted 15 kills, two assists and two blocks. Daniel Mekonen and Zippay each had a team-leading two service aces.

Aron DeRoy recorded six blocks and six digs, while Jackson Daugherty collected eight digs.

Missouri S&T (8-10) last played on March 13, falling in five sets to Quincy. The Miners come into this weekend winners of three of their last five.

Friday's match with Missouri S&T will be their first matchup of the season. Rockhurst and Missouri S&T will face off again on Saturday, April 5 at Mason-Halpin Field House in what will be Rockhurst's final match of the regular season.

Roosevelt (2-13) played this past Tuesday against Bethel, falling in four sets. Saturday's contest between the Lakers and Rockhurst will be a rematch from Feb. 1 in Quincy, Illinois when Rockhurst won in three sets.

LeMoyne-Owen (2-7) fell in their most recent match to Benedict this past Saturday in three sets. The Magicians will face Roosevelt on Friday before their match with Rockhurst on Saturday.
