Naidoo leads Hawks at J.K. Gold Classic

Freshman Keira Naidoo led the Hawks in 31st place

The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished in sixth place with 187 points in their season opener at the J.K. Gold Classic Saturday in Wichita, Kansas.

Freshman Keira Naidoo led the Hawks in 31st place in a time of 19:12 over the five-kilometer course. Freshman Laney Parmeley and senior Jillian Vaughn finished in 38th and 43rd place in 19:26 and 19:34.

Sophomore Molly McClung (54th, 20:08), senior Cara Super (55th, 20:09), sophomore Alexis Borum (60th, 20:29), freshman Theresa Berger (70th, 20:44) and senior Mary O'Connor (75th, 20:50) rounded out the top eight runners for Rockhurst.
