The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished in eighth place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships Saturday at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Illinois.

The Hawks finished with 249 points. Lewis won the team title with 40 points, followed by Southwest Baptist with 64 points and Illinois Springfield with 97 points.

Alexis Borum led Rockhurst in 39th place with a time of 23:38.42 over the six-kilometer course. Kaitlyn Davis was the Hawks' No. 2 runner in 65th place with a 24:26.11 time, followed by Lily Scheck in 67th place at 24:33.59.

Molly McClung (71st, 24:44.34) and Grace Kaiser (78th, 25:00.45) rounded out the top five finishers for Rockhurst. Theresa Berger (79th, 25:03.90), Sarah Farrens (82nd, 25:11.02) and Laney Parmeley (88th, 25:38.76) also broke 26 minutes.
