The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished in second place at the Baker Wildcat XC Classic in their season-opening meet Saturday in Baldwin City, Kansas. The Hawks finished with 43 points, 19 points behind Benedictine.

Freshman Kaitlyn Davis led the Hawks in second place with a 23:00.33 time over the six-kilometer course.

Laney Parmeley came in fourth place in 23:19.48 and Alexis Borum in ninth place at 23:59.92.

Freshman Lily Scheck (13th, 24:31.79), Molly McClung (17th, 25:31.94), Sarah Farrens (21st, 25:53.22) and Grace Kaiser (22nd, 25:56:32) also broke 26 minutes.
