Indy hosts GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championships

The 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will make its debut this weekend (Feb. 24-25) at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, following the last six meets that were held at the Athletics & Recreation Center (ARC) on the campus of the University of Indianapolis. The 2024 edition marks the 24th annual GLVC Indoor Track & Field Championships after the 2021 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Twenty student-athletes, 13 women and seven men, will be competing for Rockhurst at the GLVC Indoor meet in their inaugural season in track and field.

The two-day event will once again be streamed live on the GLVC Sports Network with nearly 13 hours of coverage made available for free to all viewers at GLVCSN.com, on the GLVCSN iOS/Android mobile apps, as well as OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. Coverage will begin on Saturday, Feb. 24 at approximately 3:30 p.m. (ET), while coverage will begin on Sunday, Feb. 26 at approximately 11:30 a.m. ET.

In 2023, Missouri S&T secured its third overall men's title and second in three years with 158 points on the weekend, 18 points more than runner-up Lewis (140). UIndy leads the league contingent with six GLVC Indoor titles, followed by Lewis with five.

Lewis secured its 10th overall women's title and fourth in a row last year with 195 points on the weekend, 72.5 points more than runner-up Indianapolis (122.50). The Flyers own the women's lead with their 10 titles, followed by SIU-Edwardsville with five.
