Two Hawks receive D2CCA All-Region honors

Jacopo Belardo was a first team selection
Jacopo Belardo and Blake Barrick have been named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association Men's Soccer All-Midwest Region teams. Belardo earned a first-team selection, while Barrick received a spot on the second team.

Belardo, a graduate student midfielder from Rome, Italy, scored 16 points on six goals and four assists for the Hawks. He received All-GLVC first team honors after being a third team All-GLVC honoree in 2023.
 
Barrick, a redshirt freshman forward from Overland Park, Kansas, scored six goals and four assists to tie Belardo with a team-high 16 points. He was named the GLVC Freshman of the Year and joined Belardo on the All-GLVC first team.

The GLVC led the region with 14 selections, followed by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference with eight and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with four.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences within the Midwest Region select­ed the All-Region teams. A total of 26 student-athletes representing 14 different institutions filled out the two teams. Those selected to the first team will now move onto consideration for the All-American ballot.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
