Vaughn leads Hawks at NCAA Regional

The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished 25th out of 27 teams at the NCAA Midwest Regional Saturday at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Illinois.

Jillian Vaughn led Rockhurst in 109th place with a time of 23:44.75 over the six-kilometer course. Laney Parmeley was the Hawks' No. 2 runner in 139th place with a 24:27.51 time.

Keira Naidoo placed third for the Hawks in 149th place in 24:50.85, followed by Alexis Borum (150th, 24:53.19) and Molly McClung (160th, 25:19.19).

Mary O'Connor (165th, 25:36.19) and Cara Super (168th, 25:48.25) rounded out the seven runners for Rockhurst.
