Women finish seventh out of 16 teams

Rockhurst's top four runners broke 20 minutes

The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished in seventh place out of 16 teams at the Brian Simpson Invite Saturday at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri.

Freshman Laney Parmeley led the Hawks in 31st place in a time of 19:29.20 over the five-kilometer course. Jillian Vaughn finished in 33rd place with a personal best 19:36.34.

Keira Naidoo (39th, 19:46.34), Cara Super (41st, 19:48.76), Molly McClung (53rd, 20:18.69), Mary O'Connor (53rd, 20:28.87), and Sarah Farrens (59th, 20:35.50) rounded out the top seven runners for Rockhurst.
