Women finish seventh at GLVC Championships

The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished in seventh place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships Saturday at the UIS Cross Country Course in Springfield, Illinois.

The Hawks finished with 200 points. Lewis won the team title with 15 points, followed by Southwest Baptist with 77 points and Truman State with 82 points.

Laney Parmeley led Rockhurst in 39th place with a time of 23:13.94 over the six-kilometer course. Jillian Vaughn was the Hawks' No. 2 runner in 51st place with a 23:35.99 time.

Cara Super (62nd, 24:00.03), Keira Naidoo (64th, 24:05.26) and Alexis Borum (69th, 24:12.62) rounded out the top five finishers for Rockhurst. Mary O'Connor (75th, 24:26.32) and Molly McClung (82nd, 24:45.36) also broke 25 minutes.
