Two Hawks earn All-GLVC accolades

Calli Wibbenmeyer is a two-time first team All-GLVC honoree.
Graduate student Calli Wibbenmeyer received first team All-Conference softball honors for the second year in a row from the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Wibbenmeyer was named the All-GLVC first team designated player. She ranked among the team leaders in home runs (8), slugging percentage (.515), on-base percentage (.438) and total bases (50) in the GLVC.

Freshman pitcher Avery Huffman earned a spot on the All-GLVC Third Team. Huffman posted a 6-6 record and 3.11 ERA with five complete games, one shutout and 81 strikeouts in 87.2 innings.

The league also recognized 13 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award Individual nominees. Wibbenmeyer is Rockhurst's nominee. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners.

The All-GLVC softball teams are voted on by the league's 14 head coaches.
