Forte named to All-GLVC First Team

Adonis Forte led the Hawks with a .377 batting average.
Sophomore outfielder Adonis Forte earned All-Conference honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference, conference officials announced on Thursday (May 11).

Forte was named to the All-GLVC First Team. The Omaha, Nebraska native led the Hawks with a .377 batting average, .536 slugging percentage, .473 on-base percentage and 18 stolen bases. Forte finished the season with 52 hits, 30 runs scored, eight doubles, four home runs. 28 RBIs, 20 walks and 74 total bases.

Senior infielder Malik Stevenson was also recognized as the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award winner for Rockhurst. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners.
