Vaughn paces RU runners at NCAA race

Jillian Vaughn led the Hawks

The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished 28th out of 32 teams at the NCAA Midwest Regional Saturday at the Angel Mounds course in Evansville, Indiana.

Jillian Vaughn led Rockhurst in 127th place with a time of 23:21.36 over the six-kilometer course. Cara Super was the Hawks' No. 2 runner in 155th place with a 23:58.37 time.

Katie Mead placed third for the Hawks in 165th place in 24:19.79, followed by Meg Murphy (171st, 24:31.79), Molly McClung (177th, 24:46.79), and Mary O'Connor (179th, 24:51.21) rounded out the six runners for Rockhurst.
