Men's Tennis post wins at ITA Midwest Regional

Semyon Tsyrenov advanced to the Round of 16 in Flight B

The Rockhurst men's tennis team competed in the ITA Midwest Regional in Indianapolis, Michigan, Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

RESULTS

Junior Semyon Tsyrenov won his first two matches and advanced to the Round of 16 in the Flight B singles. Junior Cris Cequea-Rivero also won his first two matches, advancing to the quarterfinals in Flight C singles. Senior Agustin Cortes won his first match in Flight A singles.

Junior Andres Sahagun and freshman Arnav Gannavaram won their first-round match over Michigan Tech by a 9-7 score in Flight C doubles. Cequea and junior Iago Alcover also won their opening match over Findlay in Flight C doubles, 9-7.

The Hawks will return to the courts on Oct. 8 at William Jewell.
