Hawks wrap up play at Washburn Invitational

Arnav Gannavaram won two matches at Washburn

The Rockhurst men's tennis team wrapped up the weekend at the Washburn Invitational Sunday at Kossover Tennis Center in Topeka, Kansas.

Andres Sahagun, Iago Alcover and Arnav Gannavaram picked up wins in singles play. Sahagun and Gannavaram won in straight sets, while Alcover was a three-set winner. Gannavaram added another win in three sets in the consolation draw.

Alex Tikhonov and Agustin Cortes lost their first-round singles matches in three sets. Louis Keiner, Semyon Tsyrenov, Joe Harris and Josef Truhlar fell in two sets in their opening matches.

In the top doubles draw, Tsyrenov and Cortes lost 8-6 to Northwest Missouri State, while Keiner and Truhlar lost 8-5 to Nebraska-Kearney.
