Baseball honored with ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

Rockhurst is one of five GLVC schools to receive the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award.

The Rockhurst baseball team has been honored for its work in the classroom as one of the recipients of the 2021-22 American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award.

The Hawks are one of 420 collegiate programs, and five schools in the GLVC, that recorded a 3.0 GPA or better for the course of the academic year. Rockhurst previously earned the award the past three seasons, including five of the past seven seasons.

Criteria for the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award include:

Must be a high school or college team;
Head coach must be a current ABCA member;
Team must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the 2021-22 academic year. GPA may not be rounded up
