Wibbenmeyer named first team Academic All-American

Calli Wibbenmeyer is the second Academic All-American in Rockhurst softball history.

Rockhurst softball standout Calli Wibbenmeyer was named Tuesday to the 2022 CoSIDA Academic All-America® Division II Softball First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Wibbenmeyer is the second Academic All-American in Rockhurst softball history. Former outfielder Amanda Burger was a third team selection in 2013.

A first team All-GLVC and first team NFCA and D2CCA All-Region honoree in 2022, Wibbenmeyer batted .404 with a .766 slugging percentage and .479 on-base percentage. She posted 31 runs, 57 hits, seven doubles, one triple, 14 home runs, 51 RBIs and two stolen bases.

Wibbenmeyer graduated with a 3.94 grade point average in Secondary Education in December and is currently pursuing a Master's in Education.

The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Division II Academic All-America® program.
