Reilly leads four Hawks among All-Conference honorees

Maureen Reilly is the Hawks' first-ever GLVC Libero of the Year.
Rockhurst's Maureen Reilly was named the Libero of the Year in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Wednesday night at an awards reception on the eve of the GLVC Volleyball Championship Tournament in East Peoria, Illinois.

Reilly becomes Rockhurst's first-ever Libero of the Year and ninth overall major award winner. She leads the GLVC in digs (509) and digs per set (5.72) and was first in digs (253) and second in digs per set (5.75) in 44 conference sets.

Reilly was named GLVC Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 29, Sept. 12, and Oct. 10. She was also named to All-GLVC First Team for her second career All-Conference selection and first on the First Team.

Joining Reilly on the All-GLVC First Team from Rockhurst are junior outside hitter Kenzie Hines, who ranks eighth in kills and 10th points in the GLVC. Junior right side hitter Tera Reberry and junior setter Sarah Montague were named to the All-GLVC Second Team.

Truman State earned the sport's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award, while 13 student-athletes were GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honorees. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. Gracie LaForge is Rockhurst's nominee and is now eligible to become one of the school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
