Hawks end season in NCAA Regional semifinals

Seventh-seeded Rockhurst fell to third-seeded Ferris State in straight sets (25-17, 25-20, 25-21) in the NCAA Midwest Regional semifinals Friday at the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus.

Alyssa McDonald (nine) and Sarah Pyle (eight) combined for 17 kills. Pyle also posted nine digs.

Delaney Hope notched seven kills and two blocks. Lexi Theis tallied six kills with a .385 hitting percentage.

Molly Trachta (14) and Mary Kate Mulvaney (13) combined for 27 assists. Katie Vargo collected 12 digs and Lauren Lopez added two service aces.

Rockhurst finished with 35 kills, 32 assists, 42 digs, two service aces and two blocks.

The Hawks end their season with a 22-11 record.
