Coltvet leads Hawks at SBU Bearcat Open

Leading the pack for the Hawks were Jillian Vaughn (1823), Faith Fritschle (1811) and Cara Super (1822).

The Rockhurst women's cross country team finished in seventh place at the SBU Bearcat Open Friday in Bolivar, Missouri.

The Hawks were led by Cassie Coltvet over the five-kilometer course. Coltvet finished in 28th place with a time of 20:23.78.

Molly Morris placed 34th in 20:44.17, followed by Cara Super (40th, 21:04.87) and Lauren DeWitt (41st, 21:05.14). Rounding out the Hawks' top seven runners was Faith Fritschle (44th, 21:11.26), Jillian Vaughn (45th, 21:14.07) and Marianna Donze (47th, 21:15.81).

The Hawks will compete at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on Nov. 5 in Elsah, Illinois.
