Wittenauer resigns as head softball coach

Bailey Wittenauer guided the Hawks to an 80-78 record over the past four seasons.
Softball coach Bailey Wittenauer has announced her resignation from her position as head coach to pursue other opportunities. The Rockhurst University Athletic Department extends its gratitude for the contributions Wittenauer has made to this program and university.
 
Rockhurst Athletics will be conducting a nationwide search to name a new head coach for the program.
 
Wittenauer guided the Hawks to an 80-78 record over the past four seasons. Since 2020, Rockhurst posted back-to-back winning seasons while compiling a 39-23 record and advanced to the semifinals of the 2021 GLVC Tournament. She had seven players earn All-GLVC honors.
 
Wittenauer came to Rockhurst in 2017 after serving as an assistant coach for two years at Truman State. She was an assistant coach at Drury University in 2015 and served the 2014 season as a graduate assistant coach at the University of Indianapolis after playing one season for the Greyhounds.
