Storrer, Clark nab D2CCA All-Region honors

Emily Clark hit eight home runs and drove in 26 runs in 2021.

Senior pitcher Lexie Storrer and senior designated player Emily Clark have been named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Midwest Region second-team in a vote by the Midwest Region's sports information directors.

Storrer also earned second team All-Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association last week. The senior right-hander posted a 21-4 overall record with a 1.35 ERA in 150.2 innings of work. She collected 207 strikeouts, 14 complete games and held opponents to a .156 batting average.

Storrer leads the GLVC and ranks eighth in Division II in strikeouts. She also ranks among the top pitchers nationally in victories, appearances, ERA and hits allowed per seven innings. She threw the second perfect game in school history against Maryville on May 6 in the GLVC Tournament.

Clark batted .326 with eight doubles, eight home runs, 26 RBIs and a .563 slugging average. She led the Hawks in at-bats and hits, in addition to having 11 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games in 2021.

Rockhurst finished the regular-season with a 26-16 overall record and a 17-11 record in GLVC play. The Hawks posted a 2-2 record at the GLVC Tournament, collecting wins over Maryville and nationally-ranked Indianapolis.
