Storrer receives NFCA All-Region honors

Lexie Storrer leads the GLVC with 207 strikeouts.

Rockhurst's Lexie Storrer was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association All-Midwest Region Second Team on Wednesday (May 12).

Storrer posted a 21-4 overall record with a 1.35 ERA in 150.2 innings of work. She collected 207 strikeouts, 14 complete games and held opponents to a .156 batting average.

"I'm so proud of Lexie receiving this amazing honor," said Rockhurst coach Bailey Wittenauer. "Her spin and command for her pitches makes her elite in the circle. She led our conference in almost every statistical category, but most importantly in strikeouts. She's a huge asset to our program not only with her pitching, but with her leadership on and off the field."

Storrer leads the GLVC and ranks seventh in Division II in strikeouts. She also ranks among the top pitchers nationally in victories, appearances, ERA and hits allowed per seven innings. She threw the second perfect game in school history against Maryville on May 6 in the GLVC Tournament.
