Women's Cross Country

Women capture team title at Billy Mills Invitational

The Hawks won the team title with 27 points.
The Rockhurst women's cross country team captured first place with 27 points at the Billy Mills Invitational Saturday on the Haskell campus in Lawrence, Kansas.

Maggie Moyer finished in second place with a time of 20:04.7 over the 5K course. Jillian Vaughn was the Hawks' second runner in sixth place at 20:19.5, followed by Cara Super (eighth, 20:41), Faith Fritschle (ninth, 20:41.1), Lauren DeWitt (10th, 20:46.5), Molly Morris (11th) and Sage Holmes (12th).

Cassie Coltvet (15th), Meg Murphy (16th), Katie Mead (17th), Riley Kochanowicz (22nd) and Marianna Donze (25th) also finished in the top 25.

Rockhurst will next compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on Oct. 23 in Romeoville, Illinois.
