The Rockhurst volleyball team has collected the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year. It is the 13th consecutive year the program has received the award.

The AVCA Team Academic Award, which was initiated in 1992-93, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade point average.

Rockhurst was one of 171 NCAA Division II programs to earn the AVCA's annual academic award. The Hawks finished the academic year with a 3.80 cumulative grade point average. In addition, 11 players notched a 3.90 or higher GPA during the 2020-21 academic year.
