GLVC recognizes Gallagher as Spalding Sportsmanship honoree

Freshman Maya Gallagher has been recognized by the GLVC in the sport of softball as an honoree of the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
Rockhurst freshman third baseman Maya Gallagher has been recognized by the Great Lakes Valley Conference in the sport of softball as an honoree of the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.

The representatives from 16 GLVC schools were chosen by their respective coaches to have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior this season.
 
These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.
 
Gallagher started all 20 of RU's games in 2020, batting .313 with 12 runs scored, six doubles, two home runs and 17 RBIs.
 
Gallagher is now eligible to become one of RU's two overall James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced on Monday, May 18.
